: Matthew Bizer is a PhD candidate in environmental engineering at the University of Connecticut, studying adaptation, resilience, and science-policy interactions in wastewater infrastructure. His dissertation research traces resilience-building changes in public wastewater infrastructure systems over time to understand mechanisms and factors that contribute to more incremental to more transformative change. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida and a previously worked in politics, organizing, and fundraising.
